Danny Amendola has missed an average of eight games a year over the past three seasons, so he shouldn’t be shocked when reporters or pundits question him about his durability.
Amendola got caught up in his feelings recently and hung up on a local radio station Tuesday night following back-to-back questions about his injury history.
WBZ-FM hostAdam Jones of The Adam Jones Show used the words “injury-prone,” “unlucky” and “fragile” to open the discussion aboutAmendola’s health.
“That’s not something I really think about,” Amendola said.
James hit the Patriots wide receiver with one more injury question, instead of moving on.
“You’ve been described as ‘unlucky’ with some of your injuries,” Jones said. “We all remember that clavicle injury that you suffered as a member of the St. Louis Rams, and I remember a hit that you took a year against the –“
Amendola hung up immediately.
