I can’t say this is much of a surprise.
When word leaked that the Lakers had put all of their eggs in the signing Melo basket and that the agent for LeBron James had already met with four teams, it seemed pretty clear that the Lakers were not in Bron’s plans. According to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times, James does not have any intentions of meeting with the purple and gold.
The Lakers have not met yet with LeBron James' agent. Nor are there any plans for a meeting, even though they'd like one. A lot.

Neither part of the tweet come as a shock (except to delusional Laker fans, you know who you are). It is no surprise that the Lakers would really like to meet with James, which team wouldn’t? And with word that if LeBron were to leave the Heat it would be for a better shot at winning a championship, the barren Laker roster is less than an ideal situation to bolt to.
After a silent few days on the LeBron James radar, it seems like business is about to pick-up.
