The last quarterback picked in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft may actually become the first to start under center for his team this upcoming season.
The Vikings are going to give Teddy Bridgewater every opportunity to win the starting job and it seems like he’s taking advantage of the moment.
Despite being listed as the second-team quarterback on the Vikings first official depth chart, Bridgewater has opened up some eyes in Minnesota.
While meeting with reporters on Tuesday, Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner said Bridgewater has been playing at an “awfully high level.“
Now Bridgewater just needs to prove himself with the Vikings first-team offense.
“We need to play Teddy with the first line. We need to mix a lot of players,” Turner said. “We want to see Teddy play. He needs to play to go through that first time going out.”
