Things are starting to look worse and worse for Adrian Peterson because the Montgomery County DA’s office has reportedly said that his actions in whipping his child with a tree branch exceeded “reasonable discipline.”
According to TMZ , the DA says parents are indeed allowed to discipline their children, but it has to be within community standards. Peterson’s actions evidently exceed these standards and that is why he has been indicted for felony child abuse.
The DA has reported that the grand jury heard the case for several weeks before making its decision.
If Peterson were to be convicted, he could face up to two years in prison.
