Adrian Peterson is the Vikings franchise player, they don’t want to know the full truth, the same way the Ravens didn’t want to know the full truth about Ray Rice.
The NFL has a domestic abuse policy in place now that calls for a 6-game suspension for first time offenders and possibly longer if a child is involved. Peterson has admitted to abusing his 4-year-old son to the point of blood being drawn and bruises that lasted a week. Anything less than a 6-game suspension would tell you the NFL doesn’t really care.
The NFL has requested information, but the Vikings have not according to TMZ.
The NFL contacted Texas prosecutors Monday … asking for all available information on the Adrian Peterson child abuse case … TMZ Sports has learned.
An official from the Montgomery County D.A.’s Office tells us … prosecutors only turned over what they have already made public. We’re told the NFL is not entitled to the case file since it is not a law enforcement agency.
The D.A. official tells us the Minnesota Vikings organizations has NOT made contact with prosecutors.
The Vikings have appeared to take Peterson’s side of the story without speaking with the prosecutors at all, so that tells you where their head is at.
