The depth of the Carolina Panthers front-seven just took a major hit. Defensive end Frank Alexander has been suspended 10-games for a substance abuse violation.

Alexander just finished serving a four game suspension for a previous violation. Alexander, 24, was taken by the Panthers in the fourth-round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He still has two years remaining on his four-year, $2.57 million rookie contract. Alexander has base salaries of $570,000 and $660,000 over the final two years of the agreement.
