On Sunday, Jets QB Geno Smith finished the final season game with a perfect passer rating, becoming the first QB in NFL history to achieve this feat. With all the drama surrounding the Jets organization this season, it was a nice way for Geno to finish the year.
Today, Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole reported that a source told him that Smith did not attend a team meeting. It’s rather strange, since Smith did speak to the media this morning, but as we have learned, anything is possible within the Jets organization.
Source said #Jets QB Geno Smith was not at the team meeting today.

Smith denies the report.
“No, I was on time,” Smith said. “I don’t know where these reports come from. Seems like it always happens sometime around this time.”
When asked if he was there for Ryan’s goodbye to the team, Smith said, “Once again, I was on time. I was not late. I didn’t miss anything.”
A team spokesperson insisted that Smith did nothing wrong, but no one can confirm whether or not he was actually there for the meeting.
