The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to a 2-year contract extension with forward Nick Collison. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, both years are guaranteed and the deal is worth $7.5 million. When asked about the contract, Collison shared these words:
“We’ve been talking about it for a while. It’s something I’m really happy about. I felt like this is where I wanted to be. This is my team”
All-Star teammate Kevin Durant made his congratulations public via twitter.
Congrats Mr. Thunder, such a honor to play alongside you @nickcollison4

After being drafted 12th overall in 2003, Collison has spent each of his 11-seasons with the Thunder and is the longest-tenured player on the team. Collison, 34, is averaging 3.8 points and 3.4 rebound in 41 games this season, both below his career average.
