Boston sports fans ar an obvious mix of every emotion you can imagine.
For years, it was the Celtics glory, with the Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox all playing second-fiddle. Then something amazing happened.
The Celtics remained consistent, but in the last 15-20 years, the Patriots and Red Sox have become perennial winners — with the Patriots enjoying team of the decade type status.
All that winning can lead to a sense of entitlement among fans.
That same sense of entitlement is rearing it’s head — as Pats fans fight to defend the honor and legacy of Tom Brady and company after sting of deflategate and the sanctions handed down.
The Boston Herald — playing on those emotions — ran this headline today, suggesting that jealousy was in play.
