A woman has lost more than 200lbs from her frame in less than two years after years of struggling with her weight, thanks to her newfound love of boxing, which drove her to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
Desiree Richards, from Arlington, Texas, knew she had to make a drastic change when doctors had to restore her heart to its natural rhythm after chest palpitations sent her to the emergency room.
Although 27-year-old had tried to lose weight before, it wasn’t until she stepped into Title Boxing Club, clocking in at almost 400lbs, that she had finally found a program that worked for her.
‘Boxing has influenced my life in more ways than one,’ Desiree told Pop Sugar. ‘It has been a large tool in my weight loss, a stress reliever, and a confidence booster.’
