The warning signs have been around Jon Jones camp for quite sometime now but it took until his Spring hit & run incident for them to be taken seriously. Prior to that Jon had walked around as the clean cut people’s champion, but it was all an act. An act that he seems intent to keep up because Jones is now serving his probation, and whatever is left of his UFC suspension, volunteering at a New Mexico Boys & Girls Club.
Denise White, CEO of EAG Sports Management, hints that Jon is reformed and sent out a video to prove it.
“Really with Jon right now, it’s getting him where he needs to be and doing the things he needs to do for the court so he can come back and be a productive citizen (like) before all this happened,” she said.
“Way before this all happened, but a lot during his time off, people wondered what he was doing,” she said. “What he was doing was a) training, and b) going and hanging out with the kids at the Boys and Girls Club, which I thought was really good for him. Obviously, he has something to tell them.”
It’s funny because this is the same man that hit a pregnant woman and ran away just a few months ago. That’s not to say that people can’t change, but the glamorization of his actions shouts PR move instead of genuine maturity.
