They say you’re only as good as your record but the Cowboys defensive lineman Jeremy Mincey is talking as if the Cowboys are better than their 2-6 record. The team was hit early with major injuries to Dez Bryant and Tony Romo and things have been in a downward spiral every-since. The team has loss 6 games in a row, the media is all over Dez Bryant and his pet monkey, the Greg Hardy situation continues to cause an uproar and the team still has to play one more without Romo. Mincey has had enough and is trying to find a way to break this slump before it’s too late. He thinks it’s time for a team meeting.
“We definitely got to get it together and figure out ways to stop this madness. What is this, six in a row? That’s too much. And we are way better than that, that’s what’s frustrating about it. The talent we possess and the guys that we have on the field and then come up short, six games in a row, is unacceptable.”
Although the Cowboys haven’t been mathematical eliminated from the playoffs, they find themselves in a deep hole but Mincey sees a way out.
“We’re still alive. We still got hope. We’re 1-1 with the Giants and we’re 1-1 with the Eagles. Hopefully we can get the Redskins twice and get back into things. We’re not going to give in, I don’t care how deep in the hole we are. We’re going to find a way to climb out of his hole. We will find a way.”
No one has really taken control of the NFC East and the Cowboys only hope to make the playoff is to win the division. They are currently 2.5 games behind the New York Giants and are headed to Tampa Bay to face the Bucs this weekend.
