Heading into today’s matchup between the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers, the main attraction was Kobe Bryant’s last game in H-Town.
However, James Harden and company couldn’t afford to get wrapped up into that hoopla, as they’re fighting for their playoff lives.
After their 130-110 victory over Los Angeles, Houston finds themselves a full-game behind the Utah Jazz for the eighth seed.
With two games remaining for both teams, Houston needs Utah to lose at least one game, while they must win-out.
Houston will play at Minnesota and at home vs. Sacramento, while Utah will host Dallas and travel to LA for Kobe’s last game on Wednesday.
If it comes down to the last day of the regular season, Harden is asking Kobe for a favor.
Asked what he told Kobe after the game, said Harden: "We need y'all to beat Utah. I mean, we need some help."

Knowing the competitor Kobe is, there’s no doubt he’ll want to end his career with a win, which in-return could help Harden’s squad.
