Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett spent much of Thursday’s practice watching from sidelines after head coach Pete Carroll kicked him out.
According to ESPN, Bennett and teammate Cliff Avril got into a bit of a skirmish with left guard Mark Glowinski during a team drill. It escalated to a point to where Bennett had to be restrained so practice could be continued.
Carroll says he liked the passion by his players, but he didn’t want them to cross a line since they are teammates.
“It’s translating into sometimes we lose a little bit of the poise that we need. We can’t play like that. You get in a skirmish, you get thrown out. That’s what happens. So that happened today. And that’s just the way you do it, the way we do it.”
Bennett still wasn’t done after practice ended, as he reportedly was still shouting at the offensive line before Avril had to escort him into the locker room.
