Sometimes you have to take a risk to get a greater reward. That’s exactly what Seahawks’ offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell was thinking when he called for wide receiver Doug Baldwin to throw a touchdown pass to quarterback Russell Wilson. Baldwin wasn’t a huge fan of the play despite it working perfectly. Baldwin was seem flipping the bird to Bevell before running the play.

Despite the not so polite gesture, Baldwin’s explanation for why he was upset makes total sense. According to Deadspin.com, Baldwin simply prefered the ball to be thrown to him.
“It’s more funny than anything. Bevell knows that when we get in the red zone, I want to ball thrown to me. I want to score touchdowns. And so, it’s like in this situation, him flipping the bird to me because now he’s got me throwing the ball to somebody else.”
After Baldwin’s explanation, it seemed like it was all in fun. The Seahawks are on a roll and I doubt Baldwin has any real issues with the play calling. The Seahawks are still viewed by many to win the NFC.
