Here is what “Christian” Dallas Cowboys beat reporter Brandon George had to say about Joe Mixon playing in the Sugar Bowl.
Just tuning into this Oklahoma game. So Joe Mixon is playing in this game? Really? That's just embarrassing.

He should never see a football field again. Period.

Here is a police report of an incident of Dez Bryant assaulting his mother in 2012.
According to the incident report, Bryant became angry when his mother asked him to leave her home during an argument Saturday afternoon.
Initially, at a Tuesday news conference, Smith said Bryant slapped his mother in the face.
Bryant allegedly grabbed her by her T-shirt and hair and “hit her across the face with his ball cap.”
Angela Bryant, whose T-shirt and bra were allegedly torn during the incident, indicated on a 911 call that this was not the first time she was assaulted by her son.
“I can’t keep letting him do this,” said Angela Bryant, who made the call from the nearby home of family friend and adviser David Wells. “I can’t keep letting him do me like this. I’m tired. I’m going to put an end to it today. I’m going to put an end to it today. I’m tired.”
On Monday, after officers contacted Bryant’s mother at her home, the report states that she said she had pain in her wrists, hands and arms. Officers observed swelling around her wrists at that time, according to the report.
After being transported to the DeSoto police department, Angela Bryant, 37, provided a written statement detailing the alleged assault. According to the report, she stated Dez Bryant repeatedly struck her in the hands and wrists. Officers observed bruising on both arms. She also complained that her chest was sore from Bryant pushing her.
I went and look back to see if Mr. George had written anything about this and he did.
Not surprisingly he didn’t say that Dez should be banned from ever playing in the NFL again for putting his hands on his mother of all people.
Mr. George has written many articles about Bryant since then and has never mentioned the assault of his mother, as it never happened. Mr. George has written about how Dez has grown as a person and player over the years.
Because it is normal for people to grow as they get older.
I wonder why Mr. George considers someone assaulting their mother, where the mother implies it was not the first time is tolerable, but someone who assaulted a woman during an argument should be banned for life? They are both horrific, wouldn’t you agree?
While you ponder that, let’s check on Pittsburgh Steelers.
When Michael Vick was signed an actual petition was started to attempt to stop it. Protests were organized because Vick abused dogs, not humans.
Meanwhile this is the Steelers starting QB.
“Ben asked us to go to his ‘VIP’ area (back of Capital). We all went with him. He said there were shots for us, numerous shots were on the bar, and he told us to take them. His bodyguard came and took my arm and said come with me, he escorted me into a side door/hallway, and sat me on a stool. He left and Ben came back with his penis out of his pants. I told him it wasn’t OK, no, we don’t need to do this and I proceeded to get up and try to leave. I went to the first door I saw, which happened to be a bathroom. He followed me into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. I still said no, this is not OK, and he then had sex with me. He said it was OK. He then left without saying anything.
“I went out of the hallway/door to the side where I saw my friends. We left Capital and went to the first police car we saw.”
The statement was among hundreds of pages of documents released Thursday by police. Public records show that Roethlisberger owns property on nearby Lake Oconee.
In a statement, bar patron Ann Marie Lubatti told police that the back room of Capital City had been curtained off “and Ben was back there with 15-20 girls. He was buying everyone shots and just talking and taking pictures with everyone. At this point he was noticeably intoxicated.”
Lubatti said she watched the 6-foot, 5-inch, 241-pound athlete enter the back room where her friend was. “I approached the other security guard and told him that she was in no shape to be back there with Ben Roethlisberger,” she said. “He couldn’t look me in the eye, and told me he didn’t know what was going on. My friend went to open the door, and it was locked. No one would let us into the room, and the security guards acted like they had no idea what was going on.
“Eventually, [the alleged victim] came out and wanted to go home. She said that she told him ‘this isn’t right,’ but he still insisted on having intercourse.”
Another patron, Nicole Biancofiore, said the alleged victim “was dragged by a bodyguard to the back room in Capital. She was extremely intoxicated and not aware of what was happening.”
This is never mentioned during any broadcast. Michael Vick has served his time and has been free for over six years. Vick speaks to kids, animals rights groups and even congress trying to make up for his mistake, but it is always mentioned when his name comes up.
Big Ben settled his multiple rape cases out of court, bought his victims’ silence and never speaks on it.
Sports are filled with bad people who do bad things. Sports media like to consider themselves the judge, jury and executioner of which of those athletes can be redeemed and which ones will never be forgiven no matter what they do.
I am going to edit this quote so you don’t know who the player is.
Volatile **** punched **** during a sideline altercation at Friday morning’s practice leaving *** left eye bloodied and swollen and *** facing a possible team-imposed suspension.
***, who was kicked out of practice, has been sent home for disciplinary reasons.
Fox said *** is also in *** receiving medical treatment. There is no update on his injury.
A three-time Pro Bowl pick, *** has had trouble controlling his temper. He was suspended for a game in ** after sucker punching teammate **** during a film session. *** received counseling for anger management, and a lawsuit filed by Bright was eventually settled out of court.
Despite a history of poorly timed penalties following angry outbursts, **** is one NFL’s highest-paid receivers.
If you thinking maybe that player has addressed his anger issues over the years, here is a story just from a few weeks ago.
The outburst came in the first hour of practice, after overthrew *** on consecutive deep passes along the sideline. *** ripped off his helmet and threw it about 15 yards toward the end zone. He then booted a football that was on the ground.
*** walked to the corner of the indoor facility and sat by himself. Flacco and the rest of the offense never stopped, continuing the passing drills without ***.
“The reason I did it is because I wanted to,” *** told ESPN.
Sitting in front of his locker, **** looked at reports about his eruption at practice on his phone.
This isn’t Odell Beckham or Dez Bryant, it wasn’t T.O. or Ochocinco, this is the media’s favorite recently retired Wide Receiver.
It doesn’t matter what you do, when it comes to media, it only matters if they like you. If they like you, they will protect you, make excuses for you and conveniently ignore your past.
If they don’t like you or they want to ride the wave, they will bury you for everything. It doesn’t matter if it is minor or major, they will ALWAYS bring it up.
Odell Beckham fights kicking nets, Steve Smith put two teammates in the hospital, but guess who is called emotional and who is called passionate?
In the age of Skiptized media and overly hot takes many in media feel the need to have selective outrage or simply fake outrage to try to keep up with the masses. They feel they have to scream, shout and not simply be a rational person about any topic or athlete.
If you are say a reporter in Kansas City and you are ranting about Joe Mixon but love Tyreek Hill, the math not adding up.
Media should be held to a higher standard, you shouldn’t need video when things are very clear. Ray Rice told me what he did before the video came out. If you weren’t that bothered before, why are you bother now?
Why is it so hard to say Joe Mixon did something horrible that he is going to have to live with for the rest of his life. As long as he lives that video will be out there, that was because of his actions and he has to deal with the consequences. He is extremely lucky to have been given a second chance by Oklahoma and potentially by the NFL. If he uses that second chance to not just become a better person but help other people not make the same mistakes, why wouldn’t you encourage that. That doesn’t mean you support someone who hits women, it means you support people being able to change, grow and learn from their mistakes. If you can do that for a likely rapist, you should be able to do it for someone who made one really bad decision in the heat of the moment.
Many people make bad decisions they immediately regret, we aren’t robots, but if someone is making an effort why wouldn’t you support that? What do you want him to do? I asked that seriously, what would make you happy? If we don’t allow people to rehabilitate themselves or make up for their mistakes then we better be perfect and I don’t know any perfect people. Because if you are telling me Joe Mixon can never be better, then I am going assume you believe Ben is still a rapist and Ray Lewis could possibly murder someone at the club.
Things like domestic violence, sexual assaults, drugs, DUIs and anything criminal is serious. When athletes do bad things it should be reported and reported fully. They should not be left off the hook. We as media shouldn’t play favorites. We should treat everyone the same. On the flipside of that when the athlete shows remorse and is making an effort to be better we should give them a chance or are you telling me that Brandon Marshall still beats women?
The media just like the athletes need to have checks and balances. If we took a peek in every reporter’s closet when they were young how many skeletons would fall out? How many bones would you be hit with?
Why can some media drink beer on set and others deal with racists every single day of their existence just because of the color of their skin?
How many of these reporters who are going after Joe Mixon or Ray Rice have put their hands on their wife or significant other. I am around media people all the time and I can tell you while there are many who are great people, there are the same amount who is jerks, arrogant and past criminals for various things.
There are 5000 media members credentialed for the Super Bowl, you think none of them have any dirt under their fingernails.
Just because the world doesn’t know doesn’t mean it isn’t happening, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Media is like a fraternity, we know who is shady and who isn’t.
Don’t discount the jealousy of certain media members of young black men making millions dollars and be fawned over by women they could never have a chance with. Also don’t discount how many media members will contort stories just because they are no different than female groupies and want to be in an athlete’s inner circle. Your favorite reporter voted for Trump who openly spoke on sexually assaulting women among other things, but he doesn’t want Mixon to get a second chance. Once again, math not adding up.
I am very open about mistakes I have made in my life, because to me the mistakes and how you come back from them is what makes you the person that you are.
I have never done anything like Joe Mixon ot Ben Roethlisberger, but I know I am not perfect. I know when I was 18, 21 and 25, I was not making the best decisions in my life. If someone is making an effort to better themselves I am not going to hold their past against them for the rest of their lives, unless you want me to think Tyreek Hill is still hitting pregnant women?
The media are filled with people who live in glass houses but buy stones in bulk, but we see you and it is an ugly picture you painting.
