All of the evidence surrounding Meek Mill’s case looked like he had a solid possibility of posting bail and even beating his case for what should not have been a probation violation. Judge Genice Brinkley has been proven to have had a personal grudge against Meek for not shouting her out in a song, asking him to change his management team to people she knows, along with police officer Reginald Graham being listed as one of Philadelphia’s most corrupt cops. He arrested Meek over a decade ago.
According to to TMZ, Judge Brinkley has now denied Meek bail. This came “amidst pressure to open prison doors” for him. Meek’s lawyer Joe Tacopina continues to say that Brinkley’s personal grudge against Meek is what continues to keep him behind bars for an unusual 2-4 prison sentence.
“This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill’s case into a personal vendetta” said Tacopina to TMZ. “In spite of the recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, which was supported by Governor Tom Wolf, the judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham’s perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented.”
Meek and Tacopina continue to work with the Philadelphia Supreme Court in order to possibly free him and eliminate the 2-4 year sentence. Judge Brinkley’s bias along with Graham’s corruption in the police force and brutality against Meek when he first arrested him continues to be presented as sufficient evidence for his release and for the case to be thrown away.
