With gun violence being an increasing issue, Cinemark theaters is taking the time to implement a policy that could be beneficial for safety and other issues for the company as well according to ABC.
Starting Feb. 22, the theater chain will no longer permit bags or packages larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″, according to its website.
Medical bags and diaper bags will still be allowed.
According to Cinemark, staff will also have the right to inspect all bags and packages as customers enter the theater.
While Cinemark is standing firm that it’s a safety issue, some people are calling BS and saying they are only doing to to prevent people from sneaking food and drinks into the movies.
