The Monday’s RAW was the final WWE event at the Nassau Coliseum, which is closing it’s doors. Before the RAW went on the air, Vince McMahon came out to address the crowd and thank all the fans who have ever come to a WWE show in the Nassau. The crowd popped hard and Vince looked to be in good health.

The Nassau Coliseum has been the setting of many wrestling shows in its history having run WWF shows since the 70’s. Vince Russo won the WCW World Title vs Booker T in a cage match in a September of 2000 Nitro. The WWE held their first full pay per view in 2002 when they had Summerslam at the Nassau Coliseum, featuring HBK’s return vs Triple H and Brock Lesnar beating The Rock for the WWE World Title. The Nassau Coliseum has seen WWE, NWA, and WCW events held in those walls. The Coliseum will be renovated later this year.
