When you see a guy like 11 year NBA veteran Brian Scalabrine, you see red hair and a not so chiseled physique clapping at the end of the bench and being mostly and end of the rotation guy. It is easy to goof on the guy and he has been good natured about his legacy, adopting the nickname “The White Mamba”.
With all that, is it easy to forget that the fact that you don’t get to the NBA, let alone stay in the league for over a decade, if you aren’t a world class basketball player. The only reason we think he is a slow dopey white guy is because we are comparing him to LeBron James and Kevin Duran.
Now that he is retired, Scalabrine has decided to have some fun with his fame and as part of a bit with the Toucher and Rich radio show in Boston, he is taking “Scallenges” from fans who think they can take him in a game of 1 on 1.
The first round match up was against Matt Tomaszewski, who actually has some basketball credentials, having played under Jim Boeheim at Syracuse. The results are pretty great.

Will anybody be able to capture the “White Mamba Trophy”?
