In most scandals there is a point when it jumps the shark.
A point where you really can’t take it seriously anymore and it is becomes a Lifetime Movie.
When I heard that Miss Sterger’s lawyers had hired some EX-FBI agents, I officially said to myself, that I will now treat the “Lil Favre” incident like a comedy now.
Here are the details:
A team of former FBI agents is investigating a “person of interest” who may have given Brett Favre the phone number of Jenn Sterger, a former Jets employee who reportedly received unwanted texts and nude photos from the onetime New York quarterback, NBC‘s Peter King reported tonight.
Peter King, on “Football Night in America,” said Sterger’s attorney, Joseph Conway, told him he’d hired “a team of former FBI agents… and they’re focusing particularly on how the phone number may have gotten from somebody within the Jets organization, they belive, to be, in 2008.
“Joseph Conway also told me, ‘We have identified a person of interest who worked for the Jets in 2008.”
Seriously?
Is all that necessary?
If Miss Sterger was this offended why hasn’t she talked to the NFL so Favre can be disciplined?
Oh wait, I forgot she waiting on Favre to turn over his debit card. This is what happens when lawyers get involved.
It becomes more of a PR issue and the lawyer want to paint Miss Sterger as the victim, but what is happening by making such absurd statements, it is killing what little credibility she had.
When it appeared that she didn’t want to be in the spotlight and didn’t want to expose Favre, at least some people weren’t lumping her in with the other attention whores of 2010.
Now thanks to her lawyer acting like sending “package pics” is like being the Unibomber, people are starting to think Miss Sterger is just a gold digger.
She may get her money, but at what cost of her reputation?
