Maybe the Redskins will float rumors they are interested in Kevin Kolb, Ron Jawroski and Randall Cunningham as well, just to mess with Donovan McNabb.
It is “inception”.
Here are the details:
As Eagles quarterback Mike Vick prepares to return to action more than a month after having his rib cage crunched between two members of the Washington Redskins defense, rumors already have begun to circulate regarding Vick’s potential destination in 2011, if he doesn’t sign a long-term deal with the Eagles.
Early talk focuses on the team whose players busted up his ribs — the Redskins.
It nearly as unthinkable that the Eagles would let Vick get to the Redskins as it was for the Eagles to send Donovan McNabb there. But that doesn’t change the fact that the rumor mill is churning with talk of the ‘Skins wanting Vick, who’ll be an unrestricted free agent in 2011.
I find it odd the Redskins who are 4-4 and in the thick of the NFC East race seem to be hell bent on alienating their current starting quarterback.
My opinion is they are trying motivate McNabb, but when you have been in the league as long as McNabb these type of mental games are trivial.
McNabb is a pro, either he is going to play well or he isn’t.
If Mike Shanahan doesn’t want McNabb, be a man and tell him to his face, stop with all the games.
