Provided there is a football season this upcoming fall, all indications from the big easy are that Reggie Bush will be a New Orleans Saint. Per our friends at ProFootballTalk.com, Saints head coach Sean Peyton has stated that he feels Bush will be a part of the team. Bush, who typically serves as a whipping boy in the media, is due 11.8 million for the endangered season forthcoming. Both Bush and the Saints are aware that there will be some renegotiating required in order for him to return to the team.
Being an avid Saints viewer, it’s no a surprise that the Saints want Bush to return. Although he hasn’t fully embraced the “slow to fast through” concept, most tend to agree with me of the immense possibilities the Saints possess with Bush on the field. Yet to deliver the production anticipated after his Heisman (“Hey, there’s an elephant in the room“) career at USC, Bush’s arrival to New Orleans in addition to Payton’s and fantasy football stud Drew Brees has delivered two NFC Championship appearances with one culminating in a Super Bowl victory.
