True story I use to work for Macy’s when I was in college and believe me when I tell you that their security team thinks they are all mini Jack Bauers.
It is the crazy thing I have ever seen.
They do undercover work and chase down criminals like it is an episode of cops. They have like 100 monitors. These guys take it seriously, so I am not surprised Mike Leake got caught.
Leake, of Ludlow, was arrested after Macy’s department store loss prevention employees stopped the Reds pitcher today after they say he took $59.88 in property from the store.
Leake is accused of stealing six American Rag T-shirts from the store, removing the security tags and leaving the store without paying for them.
Police said the incident was caught on security cameras at the Downtown Macy’s.
You see they don’t even call themselves Mall Security or Macy’s Security, they are “Loss Prevention Employees”.
My advice to Leake who makes almost half a million dollars a year, is if he is going to steal, do it from Marshalls.
