I think Wade did the right thing by getting full custody of his sons and by all appearances he loves his boys very much. I just want people to understand what he did is what he was suppose to do.
There are so many deadbeat dads out there when a man steps up to his responsibility he is seen as some sort of Superhero.
Many men who aren’t millionaires are great fathers to their children, try not to forget about them. Good look for Wade though.
National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) has named Heat star Dwyane Wade a recipient of a 2011 Fatherhood Award(tm) for his “substantial contribution to strengthening involved, responsible, and committed fatherhood.”
Wade, who was recently awarded custody of his children, says of the award, “I am so thrilled to be given this award, especially because it is in recognition of most important thing in my life, my kids. Nothing in the world compares to the happiness that they bring me each and every day,” said Wade. “I know that my biggest responsibility is to be there for them 100% and to demonstrate to other fathers that it is possible to be a strong male figure in your children’s lives regardless of what else is going on in your life.”
I hope some time in the future he and his Ex-Wife can work things out, because just like kids need their dad, they also need their moms.
