Florida Marlins team president David Samson stopped to help a motorist who had slammed his pick up truck into the back of a stationary car on a busy Ft. Lauderdale highway this morning. Samson, who witnessed the crash and ran to help, along with other people who stopped could not save the driver’s life.
As you can see in a video interview on the South Florida Sun Sentinel’s website Samson is understandably distraught over the fact that he witnessed this driver lose their life. I cant imagine what it must feel like to have somebody you don’t know die right in front of you.
Details of the crash have not been officially released, but it looks like the truck the driver slammed into was stopped to unload roadside grass cutting equipment.
