Bill Belichick is not a man of many words when it comes to discussing personal situations and player personal matters.
Today via the Boston Globe Belichick offered some hindsight into why tight end Kellen Winslow was released.
Belichick admitted that he had a conversation with Winslow prior to granting or flat-out releasing the tight end.
“We talked about several different things.”
“At the end of that discussion, I felt that it was best that we release Kellen for personal reasons. So that’s what we did.”
There are more questions than answer in this situation, and with the Patriots and personnel decisions, that’s usually the case.
