ESPN Dallas is reporting that TCU quarterback Casey Pachall is withdrawing from the school and will enter an inpatient rehab facility.
Pachall was arrested this past Thursday for a DWI, after being pulled over by police for suspicion of alcohol.
TCU coach Gary Patterson said he met with Pachall and his parents earlier this week, and that Casey may already be in treatment.
Patterson said that help was more important than a suspension.
“I don’t think one game, three games would have made a difference,” Patterson said. “You try to change people’s lives. That’s what this is all about.”
I totally applaud coach Patterson choosing this young man’s life and future over some games in 2012.
Hopefully Casey gets the help he needs.
