Tyreek Hill is without a doubt one of the league’s most competitive players, and Deion Sanders is most likely Tyreek Hill’s counterpart from the 1990s. Just like Tyreek is now, the GOAT-winning wide out was the NFL’s face in the past. While many may find it challenging to determine who would win in a one-on-one match in their prime, the Dolphins wide receiver appears to know the answer.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (10) runs onto the field during pregame ceremonies of an NFL game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Nov. 19, 2023.
The eight-time Pro Bowler declared with unflinching conviction, “I’m putting 175 yards on Deion,” on the Million$WorthofGame podcast. Being the beast that he is, Tyreek feels he could match prime Deion Sanders with monster numbers.
“Prime was the GOAT though,” he further explained. “But you gotta understand, though, they played a lot of man-to-man back in the day. I feel like generations have changed and receivers have changed and we got so much stuff and our generation knows so many crazy movements.”
The 30-year-old wide receiver highlighted how the league’s environment has evolved in addition to the passage of time. Tyreek is a 5-foot-9 speedster, thus it might not be inaccurate to assume that he could outrun a 6-foot-1 Deion Sanders given the defensive constraints in today’s game.
Still, that was not the end of the banter. Tyreek, ever the intimidator, even showed off how he would make fun of Deion by performing his typical celebration after beating him.
