Twitter can be your best friend or your worst enemy. According to CBSSports.com, Chicago Blackhawks forward Dave Bolland is having to skate backwards on thin ice after he retweeted a fan who tweeted to Bolland about NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman on Friday: “Can I get a RT for wanting Bettman dead?” Bolland apologized Saturday, telling Canada’s TSN:
“It was a mistake, I never meant to retweet that out. I like to retweet for a lot of my fans and I just retweeted the wrong thing. I feel bad about it.”
Wow. On the bright side for Bettman, at least someone misses hockey. Things usually get a little ugly at some point in most labor disputes, but ironically enough this isn’t the first time that a Chicago Blackhawk has made shady comments about NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman during a lockout.
