Chester High School is the preeminent basketball power in the state of Pennsylvania. From the countless state titles, to the long list of great powers, “The High,”as locals refer to it is as dominant a program you’ll find.
Chester star forward Rondae Jefferson is next in a long line of Clippers stars to get his turn at the throne. Jefferson is the younger brother of Temple forward Rahlir Jefferson, and has committed to the University of Arizona.
In this video courtesy of Cosby Sweaters, Jefferson grabs the rebound off the miss by Imhotep Institute, and the fun begins. Jefferson takes the ball coast to coast, goes behind his back, and right when it looks like he dribbled himself into trouble, Jefferson throws the ball off the glass and dunks it in for a spectacular score.
I for one can’t tell you if Jefferson planned the off the backboard or if it was an accident, but it did end up being a SportsCenter top play.
Jefferson was ecstatic about the SportsCenter honor also.
