This year you may have noticed some new changes during the 2013 NBA All-Stars game. One new feature that was visible was the new look Adidas brought to the game. Adidas inspiration for this year new look was to capture the connection between Houston and the space program.
“Designed by Adidas, the uniforms take inspiration from Houston’s rich aeronautical history and the speed of the jet planes that dot its skies,” the company stated in a news release. “The uniforms’ eye-catching impact camo pattern evokes the world’s fastest fleet of aircraft with the classic silhouette of a basketball net.”
In addition to players showcasing the new Adidas Crazy Light and adiZero Crazy Light 2 All-Star edition shoes during the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge Game, players could be seen sporting the special edition shoes during the main event as well.
When players came out of the locker room for shoot around in anticipation for the game, one obvious new look were the new patches displayed on the players black-and-white warm up jackets, showing their individual achievements.
The patches were a nice edition, adding a military vibe while also exhibiting their individual success. If you want to be the General or the Captain you have to earn your stripe. That’s a nice way to show the young rookies that while also celebrating the accomplishments of the veterans.
