This has been the week dubbed what should Jadeveon do. Pundits and experts have all referenced their reasoning for why Clowney should sit this season out to avoid injury.
The only thing is Clowney himself hasn’t spoken or hinted at such an idea. According to his head coach Jadeveon Clowney is focused on the 2013 season and won’t be quitting on his Gamecock teammates per CBS Sports.
South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier says star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney doesn’t want to quit on his team and is looking forward to playing football for the Gamecocks in 2013.
Clowney has been hitting the weight room hard according to reports, and will be with his team when spring practice starts March 5.
Spurrier suggested that those questioning whether Clowney should sit out don’t understand him, competition, or what team is all about.
“Since that hit in the Outback bowl,” Spurrier said, “I think he’s become the No. 1 talked about player. Maybe more than Johnny Manziel.”
I agree with Spurrier whole heartedly.
