Newly signed Eagles linebacker and former Texans linebacker Connor Barwin drew praise the other day when he took an ad out in the Houston Post thanking everyone from the fans to the pizza guy.
One guy in particular that Barwin thanked was Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert. According to NFL.com, as Barwin put it, “Gabbert is his favorite quarterback in the NFL, because he sacks him the most.”
“That was just me trying to have some fun,” Barwin told USA Today’s Robert Klemko on Friday. “But obviously he’s my favorite quarterback in the NFL because I sacked him the most.”
There was a shout-out to Bernie the Bear, “That’s my stuffed animal,” Barwin said.
Barwin will definitely bring some much needed personality to the Eagles.
