Not everyone is a fan of Kansas’ new alternative uniforms to be worn this month. Some fans even started a White House petition to block the team from wearing them.
Stop Kansas basketball from wearing the new uniforms proposed by Adidas
Adidas has designed uniforms for KU basketball that are stylistically heinous and tarnish a venerated institution. Stand up for our university, for coherent color schemes, and for the spirit of Wilt Chamberlain.
At no shock to anyone the petition, which was removed from the site because it “violated the terms of participation”, got nowhere and I’m sure another one I saw requesting that the national anthem be changed to R. Kelly’s Ignition Remix won’t either.
Although I respect the creativity, clearly some people have WAY too much time on their hands, but I must admit I did laugh out loud at the Ignition petition.
