This shouldn’t come as much of a shocker, but struggling ace Roy Halladay has finally been placed on the disabled list, with what the Phillies are calling right shoulder inflammation.
The 2 time Cy Young winner was placed on the 15-day disabled list after he gave up a whopping 9 runs to the lifeless Marlins on Sunday.
After the game, Halladay admitted to having pain since April 24. Halladay has been far from his former ‘unhittable’ self since last season when injury saw his ERA inflate to 4.49. Now, in 7 games started his ERA is 8.65 with 33 earned runs so far this season.
He’s scheduled to see Dr. Lewis Yocum later this week.
Get better doc.
