I’m just going to warn you right off the top that there are some disturbing scenes in the following video.
According to a story courtesy 101 Great Goals, during an under-14s Championship qualifer in Turkey between Bursa Yolspor and İkitellispor, things got a little crazy and out of control as they tend to in European soccer.
The game went to overtime after a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation; then Yolspor scored a controversial goal which was allowed and led to İkitellispor players protesting profusely and aggressively to the referee, causing him to hand out a few red cards amidst the chaos. The game eventually continued and ended in a 3-1 victory for Yolspor.
When the final whistle blew, the result became secondary and more chaos ensued, the authorities got involved and the police felt threatened enough by the teenagers to take out pepper spray and used it on a few of the players.
The boys needed to be rushed to the hospital to get treatment (as you will see) and apparently, the soccer club filed charges against the police.
