Washington Redskins pro bowl outside linebacker Brian Orakpo played all of two games during the 2102 season, before being placed on IR with a torn pectoral muscle.
Orakpo missed RG3’s ascension in the quarterback ranks as a rookie, and most importantly, missed the Redskins sprint to a playoff berth after being counted out.
Orakpo is excited to return, and as he heads into a contract year, he’s intent on ripping it up for the Redskins this season.
“I’m 100, 200, 300 (percent) — whatever that number may be,” Orakpo said Thursday, per the Redskins’ official website. “In OTAs or minicamp, I didn’t miss a day, I didn’t miss a practice. I was ready to go. In training camp, I’m going to be full go.”
“I’m going to rip it up this year,” he said. “I have high expectations. I want to win, be in contention for Defensive Player of the Year, get Comeback Player of the Year.”
