We reported a few days ago that the Giants and Victor Cruz were getting closer to completing a new.
Ralph Vacchiano of The New York Daily News is reporting that Cruz and the Giants are finalizing a deal that will pay him around $8.5 million per season, with $20 million guaranteed.
I don't have the details, but I'm told Cruz's deal — depending on structure, etc. — will probably come in right around the $8.5 M average.

The signing would make Cruz the highest paid slot receiver in the game, and allow the Giants to use the franchise tag on Hakeem Nicks in 2014.
