The NFL’s 2013 woes of players being named in crimes continues to rain down. The latest has 49ers Aldon Smith being named along with his former teammate, Delanie Walker, in a lawsuit. NBC Bay Area reports that the lawsuit was filed by a man that was shot at a party in 2012 that Smith hosted at his home in the East San Jose Foothills.
Allegations in the lawsuit are that Smith and Walker were legally drunk and obtained illegal weapons knowingly. They then went on the balcony and shot fires into the air to attempt to end the party and make everyone leave. After that, Smith went to the driveway to let out more shots into the air to ensure guests would leave.
There have been no comments from either Smith or Walker on this matter, but of course this doesn’t look good for either. In addition, the 49ers or the Titans, where Delanie Walker currently plays, have not responded to requests for a comment.
