Which one is it Eagles fans.

Does Shady want the ball or not?

Throughout the Andy Reid era, the biggest knock on Reid was his usage of Shady, or lack thereof.

McCoy has a new coach and a new defined role.  The Eagles will go as McCoy goes after carrying the ball 31 times against the Redskins for 180 plus yards.

McCoy doesn’t mind the Eric Dickerson like workload, but warned that the Eagles and Chip Kelly need to do a better job of working other guys in, and monitoring reps.

“I didn’t mind it Monday night,” McCoy said, via Tim McManus of PhillyMag.com. “I think we can do a better job rotating because it’s a long season. I don’t think I need to have the ball 31, 32 times in a game for us to be a successful offense. We have too many different weapons. I think the running backs we have here can definitely play. Bryce Brown showed you last year he’s definitely a talented back. So I think we have to do a better job of monitoring the reps.”

McCoy made sure to clarify that he wasn’t knocking his coach.

You don’t want to come off like a running back asking for less carries.
