Von Miller has been the center of attention for trouble lately, making him the NFL poster child of what not to do when you have a good thing going. The latest rumor circling his name was that he had a new outstanding arrest warrant, and it seemed as though additional game suspensions were coming his way. CBS Sports reports that Miller’s agent, Joby Branion of Athletes First, has come forward to speak out against these accusations.
Branion made a statement saying:
“On March 22 2012, in Orange County California, Von Miller was issued a ticket for speeding (less than 15 mph over the 65 mph limit). This was a traffic infraction and not a criminal matter. On July 9, 2012, the speeding ticket and all associated fees were paid in full. On July 12, 2012, this case was closed. No warrant was ever issued for Von’s arrest. The assertions presented last evening that this is an open matter and that a warrant is — or ever was — pending are absolutely false.”
This seems to be a case of people assuming the worse based on Von’s previous actions.
