DeSean Jackson is a confident player. Most WRs are though, except when they play Darrelle Revis. Back in 2011 Revis joked that Jackson was too fast, except he held him to 2 catches for 28 yards. When Jackson was asked about this week when he takes the trip to “Revis Island” he was still feeling good:
I’m definitely sure his coaches are confident in him, but I don’t think he can run with me, I don’t think he’s as fast as me,” said Jackson. “So it will be a challenge, man. He’s a great player, nothing to take away from him. I’m just focused on what we have to do here, which is win a football game. We’re not going to make it into a one-on-one battle, we’re not going to [make it] me versus Revis. It’s the Eagles versus Tampa Bay, and at the end of the game, as long as we’re winning, that’s all that matters to me.”
DeSean is having a great year but he might want to slow his roll a bit. His best hope for a big game against Revis is the same for any WR facing him, hope that you don’t end up matching up against him after your coach moves you around the field.
