After receiving word earlier in the week that Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski was likely to play Sunday, the Patriots and most importantly Dr. James Andrews are now giving us a different prognosis.
Albert Breer is reporting that Gronk is now unlikely to be a go for the Patriots on Sunday.
Status quo on Gronk: Almost certainly not playing today vs. the Saints. Ridley and Amendola, as we said Friday, are fully expected to play.

Pro Football Talk is reporting that Dr. James Andrews has not cleared Gronkowski, and has recommended that he still not play yet.
Tom Curran of CSN New England explained during Friday’s PFT Live that Patriots teammates are believed to now have some frustration about Gronks return.
There weren’t any names said, but the most frustrated teammate appears be No. 12, the guy that throws all the passes.
