It hasn’t been the year in football that Kenny Britt expected. He’s accumulated just 8 catches just 67 yards and no touchdowns. According to the Tennessean Britt is now admitting that he’s frustrated with the 2013 season but promises that he will never show it.
“I am definitely surprised with me not playing. I really don’t know the reason, and I don’t ask the reason why, I just go out there and do my job. Since I have been benched I have been working 10 times harder … to show what I can do.
“It is definitely frustrating, but I try not to show it. I don’t want to show it because it is not about me. But I can promise you I am definitely going to keep fighting until the end.”
“When I get mad, I try and keep it to myself. You can ask my wife about that. She asks me what’s going on at work and she knows I am frustrated and don’t talk about it, but I wake up in the morning with a smile on my face. There are guys that make a stink, but I wasn’t built that way. I won’t do that.”
Earlier in the season the Titans tried shopping Britt for a third round pick, but other teams deemed his value to be only good enough for a fifth round pick. It’s been five years since Britt was drafted as the 30th pick by Tennessee, but it definitely appears that his tenure in Nashville is drawing to a close. The question remains where Britt which team will take a chance on Britt next season, since his time with the Titans has been littered with arrests and no real first round caliber performances.
