Dwight Howard Says He’s Too Old To Be In Dunk Contest

Dwight Howard declines invitation for dunk contest.

The 2014 NBA All-Star weekend is returning to New Orleans. Dwight Howard stole the show in 2008, when it was in the “Big Easy”.

Everybody remembers the infamous “Superman” dunk that won Howard the dunk contest. With it’s return to New Orleans, the NBA invited Howard to participate in the contest again.

“Couldn’t do it,” Howard said.

Howard, 28, said he would participate again, “If I wasn’t so old. I’m getting up there in age, man, I tell you. I got a lot of years.”

Can’t blame the NBA for trying, but there was no way Howard was participating this time around.
