Last week UFC Fighter Thiago Silva was arrested for attempted murder following an incident where he allegedly went after his wife and the man he accused her of cheating with. The charges have actually be dropped down because he didn’t fire a shot. Now his lawyer Scott Saul is saying that calling SWAT wasn’t neccessary and only made things worse:
Saul says … cops went “overboard” because he’s a UFC fighter.
Saul says the situation could have been handled as a routine arrest situation — and the fact they called in an army of cops only escalated it.
“There was no allegation of harm against anyone,” Saul says … “But they treated it like a terrorist threat.”
Well that’s one way of looking at it. It looks like Silva’s lawyer is digging in.
