Frank Thomas Sues Reebok Over Re-Release of ‘Big Hurt’ Shoes

Frank Thomas

Retired White Sox slugger, and newly minted Hall of Famer Frank Thomas, is suing athletic shoe giant Reebok, after the company re-released his famed “Big Hurt” shoe last year, allegedly without Thomas’ permission.

TMZ Sports is reporting that Thomas filed the lawsuit in Illinois after Reebok brought the shoe back for it’s 2013 “Classic Retro Campaign,” and while the company had an exclusive agreement with Thomas to market his trademark “Big Hurt” brand, including the shoe of the same name, from 1995-1998, they did not seek his permission to use it for last year’s re-release.

You can read the entire lawsuit here if you’re so inclined. Thomas is looking to get a judge to sign off on a cease and desist order for Reebok to immediately stop selling the shoe, plus he wants damages and any and all profits made on the sale of the sneakers.
