Let’s be honest, we knew we hadn’t seen the last of Donald Sterling.
We knew he wouldn’t concede victory and just allow his NBA franchise to be stripped from his ancient hands without putting up any kind of fuss. Although the league was immediately made a better place with his ouster, Sterling will try to spend his new found free-time suing the NBA, TMZ reports.
Donald Sterling is on the hunt to hire a major L.A. law firm to sue the NBA for suspending him and attempting to strip him of ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers … TMZ Sports has learned–Sources familiar with the situation tell us … Sterling’s people were in touch with several law firms last week, including the powerhouse firm Glaser Weil. Patty Glaser is one of the top litigators in the country and has repped scores of celebs, including Conan O’Brien and Keith Olbermann.
Of course, we can assume that no matter the outcome of any lawsuit Sterling is able to put fourth, he will never be accepted in NBA circles again. If he were to re-gain control (legally) over the Clippers organization somehow, he’d need to hold tryouts in South Central, L.A. to find players to fill the roster, as we’ve seen many NBA players say they flat out wouldn’t play in a league in-which an owner like Sterling is allowed to have a seat at the table.
How do you think that would go for him?
