Kendall Marshall was on his way to being a major NBA bust after being drafted in the first round by the Phoenix Suns.
After being released and bouncing around, Marshall signed with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2013-14 and finally looked like the player we all remembered when he was drafted out of UNC.
Unlike the years in Chapel Hill where Marshall was a star, he’s now an afterthought to Lakers fans who clamor to see Pau Gasol and Kobe on a regular basis.
Marshall tells a story of his celebrity hitting its lowest point when he recently walked into a Jersey Mike’s to purchase a sandwich.
Apparently Marshall was wearing a Lakers practice shirt when he entered the restaurant. That should have been a dead giveaway for an NBA star right?

According to Marshall, the guy behind the counter actually asked the point guard if he was a fan of the Lakers. Marshall kept it classy, and simply told the guy yea.
That’s the story of Kendall Marshall’s life.
